This two day course will introduce you to two core meditation practices focusing on mindfulness of the breath and loving kindness, provide a 3 minute meditation to help with stressful situations, and support you with sitting comfortably to meditate.
We will also look at the Buddha’s teachings on the Worldly Winds, how we are tossed around in our lives by 4 pairs of opposites:
- pleasure and pain
- gain and loss
- praise and blame
- fame and disgrace
We can’t avoid these ups and downs in life, but we can learn to recognise them, and transform our lives by responding with awareness, kindness and wisdom.
