Meditation Drop-in Classes

We explore two main meditation practices – the Mindfulness of Breathing and the Metta Bhavana as well as Just Sitting and Going Deeper at the Brighton Buddhist Centre.
We offer regular drop-in meditation classes in person and online.

Upcoming Meditation Drop-in Classes

Tuesday evening in-person drop-in meditation class

Every Tuesday at 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Maitrivajra and Vidyadhara warmly invite you to come along to a new drop-in meditation class.
Suitable for all levels of experience.
Beginners welcome.
Instruction will be given on how to initiate, sustain and deepen your practice of mindfulness of breathing, metta bhavana, just sitting and walking meditation.
Taught from a Buddhist perspective by two of our most experienced teachers.

The first session of the new year will be on Tuesday 4 January 2022.

Thursday morning online drop-in meditation class

Every Thursday at 10:00 am - 11:30 am

You are warmly welcome to join this session if you would like to go a little further in meditation.  Each week we explore different aspects or themes with the help of some teaching input and practising together.  You just need to be familiar with mindfulness of breathing and metta bhavana.

Friday lunchtime In-person drop-in meditation classes

Every Friday at 12:45 pm - 1:45 pm (suitable for all)

Gambhiradhi and Maitridarshin invite you to drop in and join them at Brighton Buddhist Centre in the Top Shrine Room for guided meditations live and in-person.

Please note that the last class for 2021 will be held on Friday 24 December.
The first session of the new year will be on Friday 7 January 2022.

An unguided meditation session, including readings and mantra; for people with an established meditation practice.
With Amoghavajri, Prasannamanas and friends.

Every Saturday at 11 am - 12 pm (suitable for all)
