Origins of Transformation
In 1967 a new Buddhist Movement was set in motion in a basement in Central London when Sangharakshita and friends ritually dedicated the space to the Three Jewels.
On Triratna Day we celebrate this occasion and the many lives transformed as the fire ignited that day continues to burn around the world.
Tritana Day Festival Weekend Schedule – “Origins of Transformation”
Saturday 6th April – international online at thebuddhistcentre.com
Sunday 7th April – You are invited to join us in-person here at the Brighton Buddhist Centre for our own local festival marking Triratna Day.
We have the opportunity to meet informally with refreshments in the Reception Area and practise together in the Top Shrine Room, with time for ritual and devotion, talks, reflections and meditations.
There will be Mitra Ceremonies in the afternoon puja. Mitra ceremonies are a definite step further into the Dharma life and a joyful, festive occasion. Please do come along as we witness and celebrate those people making that next step. If you wish to, cards and small gifts are always appreciated by the new Mitras, especially if you know the person.
