Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy

15 January from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Course length: Orientation Session Monday 15 January. Then 8 week course then runs from Monday 22 January with a break on Monday 26 February continuing weekly until Monday 18 March.

The MBCT courses teach meditation and uses CBT exercises to enable us to work with the mechanisms underlying difficult mind states.

This enables us to recognise negative patterns of mind earlier, and helps us develop greater choice and flexibility over how to respond. This builds resilience and confidence rather than running off old, unhelpful patterns of reacting. This course has been tried and tested over 10 years of clinical application and is not suitable for people who are currently clinically depressed.
