Mindfulness Based Compassionate Living Course – in person

Mindfulness Based Compassionate Living Course – in person

Date and Time:

8 weeks starting Thu, 21st Oct, 2021
2:30 pm - 4:30 pm

Compassion is the capacity to be open to the pain and suffering of our self and others accompanied by the wish to seek relief from such suffering. MBCL training explores our natural human capacity to develop compassion in a way that can radically change our lives. In this 8 week course. Akasati will introduce practices which allow us to develop key aspects of our emotional wellbeing including warmth, security, acceptance and connectedness. You will need to be familiar with mindfulness meditation to truly benefit from this course.

MBCL can be an emotionally challenging programme, which is why we ask participants to have a consistent, live meditation practice.

The course consists of eight 2 hour weekly sessions.

We also ask participants to buy the course handbook: A Practical Guide to Mindfulness-Based Compassionate Living: Living With Heart by Erik van den Brink, Frits Koster, Victoria Norton

You can buy the book at Blackwells or any major bookseller.

Led by Akasati Annie McAuley
