Introduction to Meditation and Buddhism Course
Led by our senior meditation teachers, these Buddhist Meditation Courses offer a hands-on and systematic introduction to meditation. By the end of the course you will have a solid grounding in meditation, and an understanding of how it sits within a broader Buddhist context.
Following completion of this course, you will be able to access a range of other events and courses at Brighton Buddhist Centre incuding Day Retreats, Dharma Nights, Dharma Foundation Courses and “Going Deeper in Meditation” courses. Please book below.
The Brahma Vihara’s (Day Course)
This day of practice is sensitively led and will help us explore what compassion is, how we may recognise our own innate compassionate heart and how we might respond to the ‘cries of the world’.
Compassion is the quintessential quality at the very heart of the Buddha’s message. It is what makes us truly human. Yet we sometimes find ourselves confused or conflicted in the face of our own pain and the pain of others.
This event is suitable for people who have completed our Introduction to Buddhist Meditation Courses or our Mindfulness Based Compassionate Living Courses and are familiar with the Metta Bhavana and the Mindfulness of Breathing. Please book below.
Going Deeper in Meditation (Short course)
A three week short course exploring meditation practice more deeply and gaining more confidence. Please book below.
