These weekly evenings are a precious opportunity to deepen our journey into the Dharma (the Teachings of the Buddha) with a programme of Dharma Talks, Puja and Meditation.
We will be exploring the last days of the Buddha over the next 5 weeks.
The Buddha’s last journey begins near Vulture’s Peak, on this his final journey he returns to many familiar places visiting and teaching as he goes. We hear him encouraging the Sangha to keep the true Dharma.
We get an intimate portrait of the Buddha, now an old man nearing his death but with a new urgency as he exhorts his followers to practice, to seek the truth and to ‘become an island unto themselves.’
The series gently moves us toward the beautiful story of the Buddha’s final passing under the twin sala trees on the day we now celebrate as Parinirvana.
Whether you are a relative newcomers or have a bit more experience, you are warmly invited to join us.
